Health & Safety
Maintaining a first-class safety culture is key to our business. We take a structured, risk-based approach to health and safety across the Group. We have a well-established Group-wide framework for managing, tracking and auditing health and safety performance across our operations. The safety and health of our employees and others impacted by our activities is a fundamental priority for Redhall Group plc. We report comprehensively on our performance and describe the steps we are taking to achieve our annual objectives and to ensure the long term health of our employees. Our Group wide strategy aligns to our four principles of effective safety management:
-
Leadership
-
Planning
-
Governance
-
Continuous Improvement
We have identified the hazards in our work that pose the most significant risks in Redhall Group plc. and established programs to eliminate or mitigate them across our business.
Our Group-wide framework for managing health and safety is now well established. At corporate level, it consists of our corporate strategy and policies which outline our minimum expectations of all of our businesses. These are supported by a number of guidance documents on issues common to many operating companies.
Each operating company has its own formal safety management system, which deals with the hazards relevant to its business. As well as meeting corporate requirements, many of our companies have achieved certification to OHSAS 18001, the internationally recognised standard for safety management.
Given the industries we operate in we pay particular attention to occupational health risks to our people by improving the health screening and control of those activities that have the potential to impact on their health.
We continue to be recognised for outstanding health and safety performance across our entire client base.
